Overall Objective
Our contributions in health are directed to the development of public health in Colombia through the implementation of consultancy, research, and advocacy projects in the country's political decisions.
Public health a priority!
Since 1992 FES has conducted numerous studies and developed public health technologies about issues such as malaria, tuberculosis and HIV prevention, prenatal control and promotion of breastfeeding, physical activity and healthy diet. In addition, FES provides advisory about health care management and formulation of public health policies.
Due to this experience, the health division of FES Foundation has been officially ranked by the Colombian Department of Science and Technology (COLCIENCIAS) with the highest category of a research center.

The health team of the FES, has participated in the development of two policies: On one hand the FES participated in the drafting of Articles 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 and 14 of Act 1355 of 2009 or Act of Obesity, and on the other, advocated the regulation of Law 1355 of 2009 or Anti-Tobacco Law through the highlighting of some indicators that showed the urgency of such regulation.
FES has developed three public health interventions which have been awarded by prestigious institutions in Colombia and have been presented in national and international forums.
