Ondas, social mobilization of actors
Ondas Programme is the fundamental strategy of Colciencias to encourage the construction of a civic culture of Science, Technology and Innovation (ST + I) in the child population in Colombia, through research and teaching strategies.
Ondas was founded in 2001 by Colciencias in partnership with the FES, as a program of appropriation of scientific knowledge aimed at children and youth. Through recreational activity, aesthetic, play and teamwork, this methodology aims to build on their curiosity, encourage the habit of doing and ask questions and promote the exercise of citizenship from children.
In Bogotá this method has been used in approximately: 13 locations 49 educational institutions and 1,365 children and young people, developing projects that allow them to understand, explain and give alternative solutions to the social, economic and cultural rights, and social and environmental responsibilities.
